We are asked about props often. It seems appropriate that I would chat about then on Halloween.
“What kind should I bring?” “Do you think this will be a cheesy prop?” “Could we use this prop?”
Props are fun. And they really bring a unique part of your personality into your session.
Do you like Harry Potter? I had one client bring in the wand prop, a school girl outfit and her book – which was a meaningful gift from her husband.
Are you or your spouse in the military? A great prop is the uniform.
Do you love to cook with your spouse? An apron, wooden spoon, cookie batter or bowl are all great props!
Do you like to be silly? Girl – if it is part of your personality and you and your babe are going to love to see that in your album – BY ALL MEANS – bring on the props!
One of my favorite sets of props was brought by a client who is OBSESSED with Halloween! She wanted to make sure she was able to incorporate her love for the holiday into her session. Her guy LOVED her album and the unique images because of her creativity!
She also brought in the silliest body suit and cutest camera. She was a perfect example of the perfect amount of “prop”.
