But really, how much does a Boudoir Session Cost? That’s a tough question to answer.
It’s like asking “How much does a car cost?”. Or “How much does a house cost?”. It varies SO much.
Some of it depends on the photographer, their experience, expertise, equipment, demand, reputation, etc. Some of it depends on the products you want from your session. And if you DO want those things, pricing can depend on the quality of those products. The amount of time spent in your session, whether or not a wardrobe is provided, if a dedicated studio is used or if hair and makeup are provided will reflect the cost of a boudoir session with our studio.
What Does a Boudoir Session Include at Boudoir Defined?
I can only speak for our studio, but we price a boudoir session experience with all things luxury in mind.
We ALWAYS provide hair and makeup, we ONLY order high quality products, we spend an ENTIRE DAY with you, we provide the location of your shoot AND we give you full access to our client wardrobe. All of this done by a photographer who uses high quality equipment, is an expert in posing with nearly two decades of experience, has a respected reputation and a personality that will charm even your Aunt Martha 😆.
A common practice amongst Boudoir Photographers is to charge a high amount up front (session retainer fee). They then require a significant prepaid amount due before your session takes place. This pricing structure makes sense to me. They want to make sure you aren’t booking your session just for the experience. We wouldn’t be able to keep our studios in business if that was a common issue. Unfortunately, irresponsible and inconsiderate people have ghosted me after their session. The need to paid up front is understandable!
However, our studio takes a different approach. I believe with all my heart that EVERY woman should experience a boudoir session in our studio. So I try to make booking a session with us pretty easy. I don’t want money to be a huge factor into your decision. So – our session retainer (aka “sitting fee”) and minimum investment requirement are comparatively less than most photographers in the Treasure Valley.
You Will Love More Images than You Think
I realize that many women find it hard to believe that they would like even one photo of themselves, let alone dozens! I don’t want you to decide how many photographs you want to order until you actually SEE them. Our studio gives you the ability to take a smaller risk by investing a relatively low amount to “try it out”. You’ll order the images you love at your ordering session and I KNOW that you are going to LOVE them. I don’t want anything to stand in the way of you experiencing that confidence.
So while I’m sure you were hoping for actual numbers here, I hope this explains why it’s difficult to predict a definitive Boudoir Session Cost. But I can predict his – you WILL love more images than you think you will. And you will realize you are worth EVERY PENNY, just like Jessica wrote about on her google review of our studio 💞.
